: Mizuno - Women's Wave Creation 9 |

Rating: - * Agree - very stiff for running, but makes for good trainers ... I bought these to back up a pair of well-cushioned (but well-worn) Asics Gel Kinetics. Running in these Mizunos is like running in track spikes - that nifty wave design gives me virtually no heel cushioning. On the plus side, the toe box is not as unnecessarily "tall" as those on the Asics. The Asics are like running on pillows by comparison. All is not lost, though. I found that these Mizunos have a far better grip on surfaces (e.g., keeping my feet from sliding when doing planks or stability exercises), so they're now my gym trainers. Too bad, I was hoping to have another pair of running shoes. I was swayed by a stellar review from a friend, but she may never have tried running in Asics! Rating: - * favorite running shoes ... I had a previous generation of this model and really enjoyed running with them. This new pair is even better than the last. I tried another nike air pair with lots of cushioning, but can't beat the structure in the sole of this shoe. Unfortunately, I'm not too savvy on the technical speak related to running shoes, but all I can say is that these shoes have made it as comfortable as possible to run long distances. Seems to minimize impact on knees as well. And they look good too! Rating: - * Perfect for those with high arches, IT band pain ... This shoe came highly recommended...and boy was it worth it! Although I was a long-time Nike wearer, these shoes have a better toebox for my foot, they are extremely comfortable, and--most important--my chronic knee and hip pain is now under control. I can't say enough positive about these great shoes. Rating: - * stiff run ... I am avid runner and decided to try this shoe after a friend recommended it. On my first run, the shoes felt very stiff like I was running on cement. Even after a few weeks of running, they never broke in. There is no give in the heels which made my legs tire quickly. I run about 5 days a week, 8 miles a day. I finally threw these shoes away and went back to my Asics!!! Usually new running shoes feel like you are running on clouds....these DID NOT feel like that at all. I do not recommend these shoes. |
